Steve Hather - Principal
Independent Financial Advisor (I.F.A)
Steve completes financial reviews on all clients under the control of Hather Financial Services Ltd. in Cumbria & Lancashire. He is responsible for all sales and servicing within the business and has over 30 years of experience within the industry. Outside of work he supports Manchester City FC and enjoys playing golf and cricket amongst many other sports particularly when he is winning!
Katie Glascott
Mortgage and Protection Specialist & Will Writer
Katie has been with Hather Financial Services Ltd since 2012 and specialises in advising our clients who have mortgage and protection needs including any Buy to Let queries. Katie also holds licences in Equity Release, Long term Care and has completed qualifications to write wills and power of Attorney for our clients. Katie tends to spend her time in more of a supporting role for any sports, preferably with a prosecco in hand.
Sophie Metcalfe
Mortgage and Protection Specialist
Sophie joined Hather Financial Services Ltd in September 2017. Sophie is a qualified Mortgage Advisor, and is currently undergoing investment and pensions exams. Sophie enjoys staying active with her friends and family and her dog Teddy. She has visited many countries around the world and is currently looking forward to trips to Bali and Las Vegas.
Paul Glascott
Will Writer
Paul passed his exams to become a full member of the Institute of Professional Will Writers in December 2021 and now conducts reviews for our clients who need assistance with writing wills and Power of Attorney. Outside of work Paul is a keen cricketer, enjoys playing hockey and losing balls at Carlisle Golf Club.

Ian Bentley
Office Manager
Ian works on all day to day administration including the input of customers and new businesses into the databases we use. Ian has many years of service with the company and has been the office and accounts manager for several large national companies. Ian enjoys holidays to Scotland, sailing trips and Ian was a lifelong fan of Bury FC before their demise. Now he watches Man City and Arsenal.
Deborah Hather
Administrator
Deborah deals with the day to day accounts and administration in a behind the scenes role. Deborah has completed some very tough challenges on her bike and alongside her friends she has managed to raise a huge amount of money for various women’s cancer charities and the Brain Tumour Charity. Deborah also enjoys watching live music and walking with her Labrador Elvis.
Allen Hather
Introducer
Allen is a former I.F.A with over 50 years of experience within the financial services industry. Allen has now taken a non-advisory role within the firm and is responsible for the servicing of existing clients including para planning and administration duties. Allen is a boyhood fan of Manchester City and has particularly enjoyed many trips to Wembley alongside the home games he attends with his season card at the Etihad.
